Eligibility Criteria for RRB ALP 2025
Educational Qualification (Any one of the following)
- 10th Pass with ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
- 10th Pass with Act Apprenticeship in relevant trade.
- 10th Pass with 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
- Engineering Degree in the above-mentioned disciplines (in lieu of Diploma).
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years

Medical Standards

Selection Process for RRB ALP 2025
1. CBT-1 (Computer Based Test – Stage 1)
This is a qualifying exam consisting of objective-type questions. Marks of CBT-1 are not considered for final merit.
2. CBT-2 (Stage 2 – Part A & Part B)
Part A is trade-specific and has General subjects; Part B is related to the trade/technical qualification (ITI/Diploma based).
3. CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) – Only for ALP Posts
This test is qualifying in nature and there is no negative marking. Only candidates who clear CBT-2 for ALP are eligible.
4. Document Verification (DV)
Shortlisted candidates have to present original documents for verification of eligibility.
5. Medical Fitness Test
Candidates must pass the A-1 medical standard test to ensure they are medically fit for the post.
Important Notes
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT-1 and CBT-2.
- CBAT: No negative marking; only qualifying.
- Shortlisting for CBT-2: Candidates will be shortlisted for CBT-2 at 15 times the number of vacancies.
