Eligibility Criteria for BEL Recruitment 2024
1. Educational Qualification
- Trainee/Project Engineer-I: Candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Electrical from a recognized institute or university.
2. Work Experience
- Trainee Engineer-I: No prior experience is required.
- Project Engineer-I: Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience is necessary.
3. Age Limit (as on 01.09.2024)
- Trainee Engineer-I: Maximum age of 28 years for General and EWS candidates.
- Project Engineer-I: Maximum age of 32 years for General and EWS candidates.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC candidates: 3 years
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- PwBD candidates with at least 40% disability: 10 years additional relaxation
Salary and Other Benefits
1. Trainee Engineer-I
- 1st Year: ₹30,000 per month, plus 10% area allowance and ₹12,000 annually for insurance, attire, and other allowances.
- 2nd Year: ₹35,000 per month
- 3rd Year: ₹40,000 per month
2. Project Engineer-I
- 1st Year: ₹40,000 per month, plus 10% area allowance and ₹12,000 annually for insurance, attire, and other allowances.
- 2nd Year: ₹45,000 per month
- 3rd Year: ₹50,000 per month
- 4th Year: ₹55,000 per month
Retention Bonus: Project Engineers who complete their four-year tenure will receive a Retention Bonus of ₹1,00,000 (₹25,000 for each completed year, payable after four years).
Selection Process for BEL Recruitment
1. Trainee Engineer-I
- Written Test: 100 marks with a negative marking of ¼ mark for each incorrect answer.
Qualifying Marks:
- General/OBC/EWS: Minimum 35%
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 30%
- Merit-Based Selection: Final selection is based on written test scores, with consideration for tie-breaking through qualifying degree marks.
- Test Centers: Delhi-NCR, Jammu, Kolkata, and Bangalore. Candidates can choose their preference during application, though BEL reserves the right to adjust centers based on demand.
2. Project Engineer-I
- Written Test: Candidates must achieve qualifying scores to advance.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will proceed to the interview round.
Qualifying Marks:
- General/OBC/EWS: Minimum 35% in both written test and interview
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 30% in both written test and interview
Application Fee
- Trainee Engineer-I: ₹150 + 18% GST
- Project Engineer-I: ₹400 + 18% GST
Exemption: Candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempt from the application fee.
