Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality
Candidates must be one of the following:
- Indian Citizen.
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962.
- .A person of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries (e.g., Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc.).
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years.
- Maximum Age: 30 years (Born between 2nd October 1994 and 1st October 2003).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual service period + 3 years
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (General), 38 years (OBC), and 40 years (SC/ST)
- NICL Employees: 5 years
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a Graduation Degree from a recognized university.
Candidates should have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the regional language of the state/UT they are applying for. A regional language test will be conducted before the final selection.
Selection Process for NICL Assistant Recruitment 2024
The recruitment process consists of three phases:
- Preliminary Examination (Online)
- Main Examination (Online)
- Regional Language Test
Phase I: Preliminary Examination (Online)
The preliminary exam is an objective-type test consisting of 100 marks. The exam will be for 60 minutes and has three sections:

- Others: ₹850 (Including Application Fee and Intimation Charges)
